Swelling tape with delayed swelling of up to 72 hours

QUELLMAX is a bentonite swelling tape that is characterized by strong, fast and reliable swelling properties.

QUELLMAX is used for the waterproofing of working joints in construction that are constantly or occasionally loaded with underground water, catchment water and/or surface water.

Construction-demanding work joints insulated with QUELLMAX tapes can withstand pressure of up to 7 bar (70 meters of water column).

It can be used without any problems in water exchange zones.

TYPES OF KIDNEY STRAPS

We offer 3 types of bentonite QUELLMAX swelling tapes, depending on the preferences and needs of the investor.

Setting

QUELLMAX swelling tapes can be installed in two ways, depending on the conditions and possibilities on the construction site. They can be installed with mounting profiles or with mounting adhesive. In both cases, installation is extremely simple. The surface must be clean, free of concrete residues and major irregularities.

With mounting profiles:

• The tape must have good contact with the ground.
• The strip is placed in the middle of the wall in a standard length of 5 meters.
• the mounting profile is placed over the swelling tape
• The profile is attached using a steel nail or dowel (3 pcs/m' of concrete)
• The minimum thickness of concrete over the swelling tape must not be less than 8 cm.

With mounting adhesive:

• assembly adhesive, preferably CEMstar
• The adhesive is applied to the concrete in the middle of the wall.
• After that, the tape is placed on the adhesive.
• is pressed into the concrete and mechanically fixed
• The minimum thickness of concrete over the swelling tape must not be less than 8 cm.
